Kazeem Lawal holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-Ife. He is also a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), with over eighteen (18) years of cognate experience in the financial sector.
His experience in the financial sector cuts across Banking, Trusteeship, and Pension, where he worked at different times as an Internal Controller and Head of Internal Audit & Control. He started his banking career with United Bank for Africa (UBA) PLC, and later joined Intercontinental Bank PLC (now Access Bank) after which he was seconded to pioneer the establishment of Internal Audit & Control in two of the bank’s Subsidiaries (Namely Intercontinental Trustees and Blue Intercontinental Micro Finance Bank).
He resigned from Access Bank PLC in 2012 and joined Biodun Ajayi & Co. (a firm of Chartered Accountants) that specializes in Financial Management, Auditing & Assurance, and Tax Management services as an Associate Partner, the position he held until he joined the Pension Industry in 2015.
Before his sojourn into the Financial Sector in the year 2000, he had worked with both Prudential Group – an IT consulting & training Firm, and SAS Properties – a Property Development organization from 1997-2000.
Prior to joining FCMB Pensions, he was at one time the Head of Internal Audit & Control at both AIICO Pension Managers Limited and later Access Pension Custodian Limited.
He has over time attended various career-impacting courses in his field of specialty, as well as, the Leadership Training Program at the Prestigious Lagos Business School (LBS).
He is an excellent team player and a highly motivated professional imbued with a strong spirit for achievement.
