Musa A. JodaChief Compliance Officer

Musa A. Joda joined FCMB Pensions in 2005 as a Pioneer staff of the institution. Prior to this, he had worked with Ecobank Nigeria Plc as an officer in the Customer Service, Operations and Marketing Departments.

He is a graduate of University of Maiduguri where he obtained a BA in History (1997). He also holds a Masters in Business and Commercial Law (MBCL) from Bayero University, Kano (1997).

At FCMB Pensions Limited, he has worked in various capacities in the Business Development Department as Territorial Manager, North-East Zone (2005-2007) and later Head, Benefits Administration Department (2007 -2019). He was responsible for establishing Benefits Administration Department in 2007 where he developed and put into operation the internal processes, procedures and developed the payment policy document on the administration of both retirement and terminal benefits.

Some of his key achievements as Head, Benefits Administration Department include:

  • Implementation of the use of the Document Management System (DMS) as electronic solution for document management.
  • Automated benefit application process (ensuring security and fast turn-around time).
  • Created robust engagement platforms and process for pre and post retirement engagement.
  • Anchored training and retraining of staff on critical pension functions.

Musa was appointed to the role of Chief Compliance Officer on February 4, 2019 after serving for 11 years as Head of Benefit Administration Department.

He has attended numerous courses within and outside Nigeria and is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Administrators (MCIA).
